Files in the Cloud is a small, deliberately private storage service for families and teams who would rather not hand their documents to an advertising company. No trackers, no scanning, no upsells.
Encrypted at rest
Every file is encrypted on disk with per-account keys. Backups are encrypted separately and stored in a different region.
Thirty days of versions
Every save keeps the previous copy. Restore a single file or roll a whole folder back to how it looked last Tuesday.
Shared, not public
Share a folder with named people. Links expire, downloads are logged, and nothing is ever indexed or discoverable.
How it works
Three steps, then it stays out of your way.
Accept your invitation
An administrator adds your address. You set a password and a second factor.
Point the sync client at a folder
macOS, Windows and Linux. Or skip it entirely and use the browser.
Carry on working
Changes replicate in the background. Conflicts keep both copies rather than guessing.
Why invitation only?
Because a storage service that anyone can sign up for spends most of its effort on abuse, and the cost of that lands on the people paying for it. We would rather stay small, know who our accounts belong to, and spend the time on uptime instead. If someone you know already has an account, ask them to pass your address along.
